CU Turath and CISA: Columbia Iranian Students Association proudly present: 

***HOME - Stories of Social Commentary in Cinema of the Arab World & Iran.***

Our goal is to present films that are representative of a vast array of cultural, social, and political identities, and raise awareness about regional issues and their cinematic reflections and reverberations in relation to our central theme. 

RECIPIENT of the Kraft Family Fund for Intercultural & Interfaith Awareness, and cosponsored by the Office of the University Chaplain.

Wednesday, November 11: Children of Heaven by Majid Majidi, Iran. Milbank 328, 7:30pm

Thursday, November 12: Women Without Men by Shirin Neshat, Iran. Held Auditorium, Barnard Hall, 8:00pm.

Friday, November 13: Four Women of Egypt by Tahani Rached, Egypt. Milbank 328, 7:30pm. This screening will be accompanied by remarks and a facilitated discussion by Dr. Moneera Al-Ghadeer, Visiting Professor of Arabic and Comparative Literature, MESAAS.

Saturday, November 14: Where Do We Go Now? by Nadine Labaki, Lebanon. Krueger Lecture Hall, Milbank, 6:30pm.

The screenings are completely free and open to the public, and purely in the interest of promulgating Arab and Iranian culture and its various related issues across geographies.
